The goal of this thematic program is to create access to quality basic education in emergency and non emergency situations. Under this broad goal SCS designed objectives that focus on access to basic education for children, improved school environment that meets the criteria of a child friendly school environment, a learning process that meets at least basic elements of child centered approach, increase the participation of children club and other student bodies in relevant activities and decisions affecting them in SCS supported schools and improved the capacity of NGOs and SMC/PTAs to increase access and promoted child friendly schools.
To attain its objectives SCS engages in different activities in collaboration with its partner. Some of the activities are:
· Establishment and renovation of ABE centres
· Construct/establish facilities to make schools chid friendly
· Provision of educational and play materials
· Capacity building and awareness raising workshops and trainings for school community, NGOs and different level of society
· Integration of violence protection and positive disciplining in to program of TTC
