Children's Legal Protection Centre (CLPC)
The centre was established in 2004, and as the only centre of its kind in Ethiopia it aims at improving the protection and access of justice of children whose human rights have been violated.
The specific objectives of the cenre are to:
· Provide personalised legal counselling to children, their families and other organisations working on children's rights.
· Provide judicial representation to cases involving violations of children's rights.
· Facilitate the access of abused children to other complementary support, such as temporary shelter, medical and/or psycho-social assistance, trough networking with appropriate organisations.
· Provide legal education and training to various target groups like the police, public prosecutors, judges and media.
· Advocate among policy and decision makers to take greater account to children's rights.
